I am currently a Freshman majoring in Economics/Mathematics with a double minor in Finance and Applied Analytics at the University of Southern California. Originally from India, I have lived for several years in Houston before moving to Dubai. This has taught me to be adaptable and learn how to navigate my way through unfamiliar circumstances.
I am passionate about Finance, building models, and running realistic simulations. With experience in various fields like Wealth Management and Consulting, I have gained valuable skills and look forward to using them in my pursuit for a career in Finance.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy playing badminton, solving sudoku/logical puzzles, and exploring new places in town. I enjoy taking part in activities that stimulate my brain while allowing me to be in a flow state.
I am part of the TVP, a buy side Finance Club where we learn how to think like investors. We conduct research on companies and analyze if they are good investments or not. We also work towards understanding Finance as a whole, gaining insightful technical and soft skills.
I am part of International Consulting Club at USC where I have worked with clients to provide professional business advice. I worked with the director of LA General Hospital to cater to their current needs and pitched our suggestions.
I worked with Relationship Managers and the Execution Team to understand the types of structured products and how that flows into the companies profits. Other than that, I also worked with the compliance team to create a workflow document which would be used to train new employees.
I worked with Gasoline Traders, understanding the basics of paper trading, hedging and the use of derivatives in the crude oil market. Other than that, I gained first hand exposure to how traders work with clients.
I recently presented my research paper "Duality of Sehmat: A Strategic Ploy or Mere Stunt" at the Annual Thematic Option Honors Conference.
